Yogurt, cucumber, onion dip|Traditional Indian Raita

Yogurt, cucumber, onion dip or the Raita is the most commonly used condiment in my house/studio. The recipe is very simple and quick and easy. Just like other recipes we publish, ‘Raita’ is also a very nutritious one. I prefer to serve it chilled and with a rice bed or lemon rice or Geelrys (recipe will be posted in the next post). Hope you relish it!

Ingredients Measurement
Greek-style Yogurt/Indian Curd 1Cup
Organic Cucumber chopped 1 Cup
Chopped Onion 1/4 Cup
Chopped GreenChili 1 Tablespoon
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Fresh Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
Fresh Organic Cilantro 1 sprig


  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and give a nice stir
  2. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve chilled

Note: You may mix cucumber and salt keep it aside for some time and squeeze the water and then mix yogurt, and chopped onion and chili. I don’t recommend this method because there will be a nutritional loss.
